Standard AmourPrint orders ship 2-3 business days after proof approval and arrive 2-5 business days after that — most U.S. orders land in 5-7 business days total. Rush production is 1 business day. Below is the honest breakdown of production + carrier transit, including why holiday season runs longer.
How the timeline actually breaks down
An AmourPrint order goes through four stages: (1) you place the order, (2) we send the digital proof within 24 hours, (3) you approve and we print + stretch + pack, (4) the carrier ships it. Stage 2 is usually under 8 hours during business days. Stage 3 is 2-3 business days standard (1 business day with rush production). Stage 4 is UPS Ground for most U.S. addresses — 2 days to California/Nevada/Arizona, 3-5 days to the rest of the lower 48, 5-7 days to Alaska/Hawaii. Total from order placed to canvas in hand: 5-7 business days standard, 3-5 business days with rush.
Honest about Q4 shipping
The above timeline holds 9 months a year. Q4 (November-December) is harder. UPS and FedEx both slow down during peak holiday shipping; we've seen 6-8 day transit times that are normally 3-5. Our production line also runs longer because order volume triples in November. If you're ordering for Christmas, the realistic last-order date for standard production is December 12; for rush production, December 17. After that we don't promise pre-Christmas delivery and we say so on the checkout page. Q4 is the source of most of our shipping-delay complaints — we own that.
Rush production options
Standard production is 2-3 business days. Rush production is 1 business day (+$15 added at checkout). Same-day production isn't available — the canvas physically needs to dry after printing before we can stretch it. If you have a hard deadline within 7 days, pick rush + UPS 2-Day Air at checkout; that combo gets a canvas from California to most U.S. addresses in 3-4 business days total. Inside California, rush + UPS Ground arrives in 2-3 days.
International shipping
Most countries (Canada, U.K., E.U., Australia, New Zealand) ship via DHL Worldwide Express — 3-5 business days transit after production. Production timeline is the same as U.S. orders. Total international: 5-8 business days. Customs duties are paid by the recipient on international orders; we list HS codes and accurate declared values on every shipment.
