Eco-Friendly Personalized Canvas — Sustainable Options
We don't pretend to be a zero-waste operation, but we've quietly built sustainability into every AmourPrint canvas: water-based pigment inks (no solvents), kiln-dried U.S. pine frames, recyclable kraft packaging, and the most durable construction we know how to make.
Water-based pigment inks (no solvents)
We print on water-based pigment inks — the kind that emit zero VOCs during printing or curing. Most low-cost canvas operations still use solvent or eco-solvent inks because they're cheaper per gallon; we don't. Water-based pigments are also what makes the 5-year color guarantee possible — they bond to canvas at a molecular level and resist fading without needing UV-coating chemistry.
U.S.-sourced kiln-dried pine frames
Frame wood is U.S.-sourced kiln-dried pine — a fast-growing softwood managed under U.S. Forest Service sustainable-harvest standards. Shorter supply chain than imported hardwood, lower embodied carbon, and the wood is dried to under 12% moisture so it won't warp in normal indoor conditions for the life of the canvas.
Recyclable kraft packaging
Our shipping boxes are 100% recyclable corrugated cardboard. Inner packaging is unbleached kraft paper and biodegradable corn-starch peanuts — no styrofoam, no plastic bubble wrap (we ditched bubble wrap in 2023). The kraft sleeve around the canvas is reusable as gift wrap if you're gifting.
The most sustainable thing we do: build it to last
The single biggest carbon footprint of a canvas is replacing it. Our 5-year color guarantee + lifetime craftsmanship warranty means most AmourPrint canvases stay on walls for 10-15 years, not 2-3. That's the most-impactful sustainability story we can tell — fewer replacements, fewer shipments, less landfill.
