In Joshua chapter 6, Israel is told to take a fortified city without a siege. For six days they walk around it once a day in silence. On the seventh they walk around it seven times, the priests sound the rams' horns, the people shout, and the walls fall outward. It is the least military battle plan in Scripture, and this canvas paints the quiet part — the walking, before anything happened.
