Can I customize the canvas size and frame?
Yes โ AmourPrint canvases come in 5 standard sizes from 12x16 to 30x40 inches with multiple framing options (standard gallery-wrap included with every canvas, plus floating frame upgrades in walnut, black, or natural wood). The full customization stack also includes the lyric snippet, dedication line, font family, color treatment, and add-ons like photo-on-back and sound-wave overlay. Every canvas is hand-printed in our family-owned California studio with the full customization applied to your specific order.
Customization in the personalized canvas category falls into two distinct layers: design customization (what's printed on the canvas) and physical customization (size, framing, presentation finish). AmourPrint supports full customization on both layers, with the design customization handled through the digital proof workflow (where buyers see and approve the layout before printing) and the physical customization handled through size selection and add-on options at order time. This guide walks through both layers in detail so buyers can plan their order with full visibility into what's customizable and what isn't.
Size customization
AmourPrint canvases ship in 5 standard sizes: 12x16, 16x20, 16x24, 24x36, and 30x40 inches. The 16x24 is the most-ordered size. Custom non-standard sizes outside this range are not currently offered โ the 5 standard sizes cover the placement scenarios (bedside, room-focal, above-bed, above-couch, statement-piece) that the vast majority of buyers need. Frame customization
Every canvas ships pre-stretched on a 1.5-inch deep wooden gallery-wrap frame at no additional charge. This is the standard finish and works for 80% of placements. Optional frame upgrades:
- Floating frame (walnut): +$25-45 by size. Warm brown wood border with floating visual effect.
- Floating frame (black): +$25-45 by size. Clean black border for minimalist or modern placements.
- Floating frame (natural wood): +$25-45 by size. Lighter unfinished wood tone for Scandinavian or coastal placements.
Design customization
Lyric snippet: Pick any 2-4 lines from any song. Most-ordered: the chorus. The digital proof step lets you see line breaks, spacing, and layout before printing.
Dedication line: Custom one-line dedication with names, dates, locations, or a personal phrase. Most-ordered format: "For [name] on [date]" or "[song title] ยท [wedding date]".
Font family: Multiple font family options including clean sans-serif (modern), classic serif (traditional), and handwritten script (romantic). The digital proof shows the lyric in your chosen font.
Color treatment: Black-on-cream, white-on-black, sepia, monochrome, and seasonal color treatments (red, gold, green for Christmas; pink, red for Valentine's). Year-themed material treatments available for milestone anniversaries (silver for 25th, gold for 50th, etc.).
Photo-on-back add-on: +$12. A wedding photo, family photo, or sentimental image printed on the back of the canvas as a hidden surprise reveal.
Sound-wave overlay: +$15. The audio waveform of the song or vows printed at low opacity behind the lyric typography.
What you can't customize (for now)
Canvas depth is fixed at 1.5 inches (standard gallery-wrap depth). Frame styles are limited to the floating frame options listed above โ ornate or traditional-molding frames are not available. Print method is fixed at our hand-printing process (no mass-print fast-fulfillment option). Production location is fixed at our Victorville, California studio (we don't drop-ship from international fulfillment centers).
