Every AmourPrint canvas is hand-printed in our California studio with archival inks rated 100+ years against fading. The process takes 5–7 business days standard, 2–3 days with rush. Below: the 7 steps a canvas goes through from your order to your wall.
Step 1 — You design (Day 0)
You design your canvas on amourprint.com. Pick the song, lyric snippet (4–12 lines), size, color palette, optional photo, dedication line. Order placed.
Step 2 — Designer review (within 24 hours)
A real designer (not a template engine) reviews your order. Adjusts line breaks for visual balance. Spaces names + date properly. Confirms photo crop if applicable. Emails you a digital preview within 24 hours.
Step 3 — Your approval (your timeline)
You review the preview. Approve as-is OR tell us what to change — layout, font weight, photo positioning, color tone. Free unlimited revisions. We don't print until you approve.
Step 4 — Production print (2–4 business days, 1 day on rush)
Approved file goes to our California print floor. We use Epson SureColor archival pigment-ink printers — the same printers used by professional photographers and museums for fine-art reproduction. Inks are rated 100+ years against fading.
Each canvas is printed at native 300 DPI for sharpness. We use cotton-blend canvas (not polyester) for better texture + ink absorption.
Step 5 — Hand-stretching (same day as print)
Printed canvas is hand-stretched over a kiln-dried pine stretcher frame. Tension calibrated by hand for gallery-grade tautness. Edges are gallery-wrapped — meaning the image continues around the side of the frame, no white edges, no exposed staples.
Step 6 — Quality control + packaging (same day)
Every canvas is hand-inspected against the approved preview. Quality rejection rate under 0.5%. Then packaged with:
- Free hanging frame (D-rings + nails for drywall, plastic anchors for larger sizes)
- Care instructions card
- Branded gift packaging (free — we ship gift-ready by default)
- Insurance for full replacement value
Step 7 — Shipping (3–5 days US standard, 2-3 with express)
UPS or FedEx ships from our California facility. Tracking link emailed immediately. APO/FPO addresses at US-domestic rates. International shipping to US, Canada, UK, Australia, and most of Europe.

Why we keep production in California
The economics of outsourcing canvas printing to overseas POD networks would let us cut costs by ~30%. We don't, because:
- Quality control rejection rate at overseas POD networks averages 5-8%. Our California in-house rate is under 0.5%.
- Turnaround at overseas POD is 14-21 days door-to-door. Ours is 5-7 days standard.
- Customer service for production issues at overseas POD requires 3-5 day cycles. Ours is same-day.
- The archival-ink + cotton-canvas + hand-stretching combination is hard to match with mass-production POD.
Equipment + materials we use
- Printers: Epson SureColor P-series with archival pigment inks
- Canvas: 380gsm cotton-blend, matte finish
- Frames: Kiln-dried pine, 1.5" deep, gallery-wrap stretching
- Hanging hardware: D-rings + 1" zinc-coated nails for drywall, plastic anchors for 24×48" and larger
- Packaging: Custom-cut foam corners + double-wall corrugated cardboard, insured during transit
