The basics: names + date

The simplest formula is two names and a meaningful date (wedding, anniversary, the day you met). It's clean, timeless, and instantly personal.

Pick the right lyric line

If you're using a song, don't default to the chorus. Choose the line from the part of the song that meant something — the verse that played during a specific moment. A specific lyric hits harder than the most famous one.

Short dedications that work

• "Where it all began — [place], [date]"
• "Our song, our story"
• "To [name], from the day you said yes"
• "Est. [year]" with your last name
• A private nickname or inside joke only you two get

Keep it short

On wall art, less is more — a few powerful words read better from across the room than a paragraph. When in doubt, names + date + one meaningful line.
